Would you be willing to pay for the ability to edit the graphics for an entire map using photoshop or your preferred tool? and I already have like 50 half started projects. but on the other hand it would be quite a lot of work with little/no reward for me. I dunno, not really sure how I feel about this whole idea because on the one hand it would be nice to have such a tool for both myself and the community. I'm not sure if I want to continue this project (mostly just was me testing out some simple geometry for use with graphics) What about if I continued the project and made it into a full tile editor (so you could edit or create custom maps including dmap information). Is this something people would be interested in? Would this be something people would be willing to PAY for (say. Basically it would be a way for people to do far more complex map edits instead of simply editing say 4-5 image chunks like they do now to edit 1 small section. It would create one single large image file of the entire map (full quality, full size) which you could edit in photoshop and then convert back into chunks. The use of this would be somewhat obvious. which could then be re-converted back into the individual image chunks. Something that came to mind when I did this was that it would be incredibly simple for me to take the finished product and export it to a very large image file. ![]() dds directories as well as load management when dealing with THOUSANDS of image chunks) but I've made a lot of progress. It's not exactly 'finished' (need to add better support for large maps that use multiple. ![]() Ok so I'm positive this thread won't get very much in the way of feedback but I'm just curious and very bored.Īs some of you know I've been messing around with XNA the last few days and decided to make a simple map viewer. ![]()
